some hotels have stars is it because the luxury or the work that they deliver?

Im 17 and i play varsity for my high school soccer team. This weekend my dad took me and a couple of my soccer buddies to a freestyle championship in Manchester England where he lives currently for his work. We decided to go look the competition on saturday and on sunday, visit the MacArthur West Soccer Park to just goof around. Billy Wingrove was supposed to be at the championship. On the way to the event, i googles him in the car with my blackberry. Hes good. Very good. I was hoping that my dad would have some sort of connection to where i could meet or talk to him for a little bit. When we arrived, it was already crowded. My dad took my friends and i up to a private viewing area where it was less noisy. The announcer was in there along with a few other compettitors. I asked the annoncer where Billy was and he said "Dunno gov". We waited until the festivities were about to start when i heard a knock at the door. It wasn't Billy. It was the groundskeeper ready to receive things going. I asked him where Billy was and he told me that he had been here this entire time. He told me that he actually got here early. This news excited me and i went to the car to receive my ball. When i returned it had just begun. When a compettitor preformed a trick my friends and i tried to do it exactly like they did. Some were impossible while others seemed manageable. It ended with every of them passing the ball to each other and each of them doing their possess trick before handing it off. I left and decided to start a juggling circle with my friends beside an overpass. I could pretty much do a majority of Billy's tricks except for his hop the world and effortless Wingrove Rainbow. I tiny crowd of people gathered around us like we were a second act or something and i heard my dad tell me that Billy was watching. He was walking past us in the overpass and i ran up to him. I asked him how he does his tricks and he told me practice. He offered to show me but he really had to go. I shook his hand and he left. We got in the car and my friends complained to me that i always meet the coolest people. I've met cristiano ranaldo and he taught me some corner kicks and even autographed a Nike. C. Balla. When we got back to the Radisson Edwardian Luxury Hotel my dad got a phone call. He told me that if i quit my highschool team and train with arsenal UK for a couple of months i could sign up for one of UK's novice top trick competitions. Should i think about it or should i say no??

I am an 18-year-old gay man and I like luxury and fancy things but I have never worked in my life and my parents don't want to pay me a room in a fancy hotel because they say it's ridiculous and useless, but I would like to receive money quickly to go at like the Ritz, wear my fanciest clothes, and walk around the hotel in a suit and grin at the wealthy people and pretend I'm used to this fancy life. I would walk around with a brandy or something fancy and I'm shaking at the mere thought of how beautiful it would be. I would pretend, for a weekend, that I'm used to that and that I'm very wealthy. I might even adopt and accent for a few days and pretend I'm foreign nobility to the people I meet there. I do understand it might sound unrealistic and odd, but it's not THAT unrealistic as it's every things which are possible. Why couldn't I adopt a fake accent? Why couldn't I pretend to be someone else?
As I said, however, I have no money, no intention of getting a job right away, and my parents won't pay for me. How do I go about getting the money for that? How much do a few nights in a big hotel cost?

But to my knowledge we have no plans. He recently got out of treatment for alcoholics. In his old life he cheated, lied and decieved me. He is in therapy now and he is acting pretty arrogant about himself. He says that his threapist recommends that I receive treatment. Because I think he is still llying, cheating and deceiving me. What do you think?

I'm going to be staying at least from April 22nd to April 26th, possibly longer, although there is a vague possibility of checking out a day or two early if I am offered a place to stay by a relative.
I DO NOT CARE if there is a layer of filth on the floor, I'm cuddling rats, and playing whack-a-mole with cockroaches. I do not care if the staff is rude. I do not care if I have to do an Olympic-worthy run through a bevy of hookers and drug dealers to receive to my room. I want a bathroom (preferably with a tub), electricity, and a bed. Don't even need a tv, though I'd imagine its pretty standard. I've had pretty dark times in my past, so relax assured that such an environment wouldn't ruin my vacation at every; I'm trying to avoid sleeping in my car, because I think that would.
In the past, when I've gone places, I've done internet research on motels and hotels, and always found something cheaper advertised on a sign when I got there . . . I remember once stopping in Illinois and a front desk staff member assuring me I'd find nothing cheaper than his $55 a night. At the next interstate leave, I found one for $24. In my experience the cheapest rooms are unknown motels that don't show up online, so I'm sort of interested in those.
It's just me staying and I am a smoker so a smoking room is ok, but I don't smoke inside at home so a nonsmoking room is fine as well. No pets. No need for amenities. Anything within about 15 miles is good; further is also ok if its cheap enough to make up for gas. I plan to go to Disneyland or other touristy places, but the primary function of the trip is meeting long-lost family.
I've found a room that is listed as $35 for weekdays and $40 for the weekends; after taxes the four-night stay comes to about $168. I know that's not bad, but I've already taken too many "little luxuries" regarding this trip. I didn't do comparative rates on my rental car at every, so I'm trying to trim the fat.
Thanks.

Exclusive: RNC document mocks donors, plays on 'fear'
By: Ben Smith
March 3, 2010 04:23 PM EST
The Republican National Committee plans to lift money this election cycle through an aggressive campaign capitalizing on “fear” of President Barack Obama and a promise to "keep the country from trending toward socialism."
The strategy was detailed in a confidential party fundraising presentation, obtained by POLITICO, which also outlines how “ego-driven” wealthy donors can be tapped with offers of access and “tchochkes.”
The presentation was delivered by RNC Finance Director Rob Bickhart to top donors and fundraisers at a party retreat in Boca Grande, Florida on February 18, a source at the gathering said.
In neat PowerPoint pages, it lifts the curtain on the often-cynical terms of political marketing, displaying an air of disdain for the party’s donors that is usually confined to the barroom conversations of political operatives.
The presentation explains the Republican fundraising in simple terms.
"What can you sell when you do not have the White home, the home, or the Senate...?" it asks.
The answer: "keep the country from trending toward Socialism!”
Manipulating donors with crude caricatures and playing on their fears is hardly unique to Republicans or to the RNC – Democrats raised millions off George W. Bush in similar terms – but rarely is it practiced in such cartoonish terms.
One page, headed “The bad Empire,” pictures Obama as the Joker from Batman, while home Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leaders Harry Reid are depicted as Cruella DeVille and Scooby Doo, respectively.
The document, which two Republican sources said was prepared by the party’s finance staff, comes as Chairman Michael Steele struggles to retain the trust and allegiance of major donors, who can give as much as $30,400 a year to the party.
below Steele, the RNC has shifted toward a reliance on tiny donors, but the document reveals extensive, confidential details of the strategy for luring wealthy checkwriters, which range from luxury retreats in California wine country to tickets to a professional battle in Las Vegas.
The 72-page document was provided to POLITICO by a Democrat, who said a difficult copy had been left in the hotel hosting the $2,500-a-head retreat, the Gasparilla Inn & Club. Sources at the event said the presentation was delivered by Bickhart and by the RNC Finance Chairman, Peter Terpeluk, a former ambassador to Luxembourg below President George W. Bush.
The RNC reacted with alarm to a question about it Wednesday, emailing major donors to warn them of a reporter’s question, and distancing Steele from its contents.
“The document was used for a fundraising presentation Chairman Steele did not attend, nor had he seen the document,” RNC Communications Director Doug Heye said in an email. “Fundraising documents are often controversial.
“Obviously, the Chairman disagrees with the language and finds the use of such imagery to be unacceptable. It will not be used by the Republican National Committee – in any capacity – in the future,” Heye said.
The most unusual section of the presentation is a set of six slides headed “RNC Marketing 101.” The presentation divides fundraising into two traditional categories, direct marketing and major donors, and lays out the details of how to approach each group.
The tiny donors who are the targets of direct marketing are described below the heading “Visceral Giving.” Their motivations are listed as “fear;” “Extreme negative feelings toward existing Administration;” and “Reactionary.”
Major donors, by contrast, are treated in a column headed “Calculated Giving.”
Their motivations include: “Peer to Peer Pressure”; “access”; and “Ego-Driven.”
The slide also allows that donors may have more honorable motives, including “Patriotic Duty.”
A major Republican donor described the state of the RNC’s relationship with major donors as “disastrous,” with veteran givers beginning to abandon the committee, which is becoming increasingly reliant on tiny donors.
The party’s average contribution in 2009, according to the document, was just $40, and the shift toward a financial reliance on the grassroots may help explain Steele’s increasingly strident tone toward the Obama Administration.
While the crude portrayal of Obama may be - as Steele ‘s spokesman put it - “unacceptable,” other elements of the presentation may be of equal interest to close political observers.
The RNC plans to lift $8.6 million from major donors alone in 2010, less than 10% of its total 2009 fundraising take, which was primarily from tiny donors."
The middle of that plan is an extensive, and colorful, schedule of events. Along with traditional fundraisers with conservative luminaries including Weekly Standard Editor Bill Kristol and former presidential candidate Steve Forbes, the party plans to lift $80,000 for a trip to Lond

" Background Information>>"....I am a middle aged single lady. I have worked most of my adult life in the food industry in some area or another. Bakery was the hardest. I was going to try something unrelated... towards attending school for Esthetician..to work in a Day Spa.. however.. reading many blogs.. many are not finding work. The school cost 10 grand.. and you work on straight commission, It takes years they say to build a client book.. and I wouldn't be able to go it alone .. until I receive enough money and clients to do so. Besides that.. not finding work may help me to go homeless.lol..Well.. could. The Spas expect you to bring in every the work.. and yet..your not allowed to bring the clients with you when you leave. I thought this would be less strenuous work physically on me and my body.. however.. if I can't find work or much of it.. the school won't want to wait for re paying the loan that long. This lady in CA said on a Spa Blog.. that she can't find work and wish she never did it now.. because she is in debt. However.. I read that the spa industry has not been affected that much or difficult yet. But.. that must mean those already in it.. not recent grads.. At a Community College here .. they have a program for one year for a food production or prep.. towards becoming a cook, assistant cook or grill cook.. When I worked at a hotel these people made a decent.. wage and received benefits.. working nights .. is good because I am a night owl.. I would have a steady stream of income.. which would allow me to continue my schooling during the days.. for an associates in Culinary. What do you every think .. why / why not?
Also.. They say food and medical are the two main areas in any recession that would never suffer because people need both areas ... and food is a necessity.. luxury services are not..
Should I not allow my middle age to deter me? I adore to cook.. I am a foodie.. I am a good cook.

My fiance and I are going on our honeymoon on July31-??. We cannot leave the states b/c his papers will be pending, so we have chosen Hawaii. We would like to spend $500 or less a night for a room- or $3000 for the hotel cost (using miles for airfare).
I would really appreciate some recommendations from people that have been to Hawaii. We want the classic Hawaii honeymoon, preferably a resort where there will be NO kids, and I am super picky about hotels. I like modern-luxury.
We really are not wanting to do a lot of activities (hiking, kayaking) we just mainly want to relax on the beach and have some drinks :) So a hotel with beach access is a must.
We are also looking for a resort with at least a couple of restaurants so we will not have to leave that much to go and eat.
And if your thinking....just call a travel agency...I have and they work off commission so they don't hear to what I really want- they just want to send us to a mainstream hotel with nothing that we asked for :(
So I would really appreciate some good advice- as we need to book soon! :)
Thanks!

There are solid statistics to provide evidence that many bnp councilors have been extremely lazy and while doing this, have claimed the maximum amount of expenses available to them (£10724). Their 2 MEPs have been reported to use their expenses money while in Europe to book themselves into the most swankiest hotel to order the best services and luxury that their expenses can afford.
People don't yet realise that bnp are no less corrupt than the mainstream parties, and if you're thinking that they have committed nowhere close as much scandals as LIB-LAB-CON, then there's a reason for that. Its because they don't have the resources to commit endless expenses scandals, the parties to commit them are mainly LAB and CON, what's the coincidence? They both have loads of UK+EU seats, and councilors to spare, any party that has loads of resources will commit an expenses scandal, regardless of which party they are!
Jacob: Hitler didn't have anywhere in his policies that he would murder 6 million Jews, he didn't include in his manifesto that he would also kill/sterilise every mentally and physically sick person in Germany
Hugo: You have a good point, but with every the corruption in Parliament recently, and you receive a party like bnp claiming they're the new honest ones, it just insults your intelligence.

I could have sworn that I read a news article yesterday stating that Gigi Jordan, the mom accused of killing her 9 year old son at a NYC luxury hotel, had tried to commit suicide by jumping off a bridge and that she was found on an empass below the bridge injured. I am sure I read that report early morning yesterday, but now I can't find it anywhere on the net. every the news reports were updated at 7:32 pm yesterday.

I'm not needy or anything, I was watching Eurotrip last night and they ended up in Bratislava or something like that, and they had $1.72(USD) and they were able to receive a room in 5* hotel, go clubbing, ect.. with that. Also they tipped there waiter a nickel, and the waiter told his boss that he was quitting and opening his possess hotel.
So what countrys in Europe or South America, Asia, or the Middle East, can a broke American live the relax of there life in luxury with about $2000(usd)

Is Sheik Yousuf Al-Qaradhawi right below? He said:
" Dr. Yousuf Al-Qaradhawi: We use trains and planes, but they are not our trains or planes. The (Westerners) manufacture them and export them to us. True, we can buy the most magnificent things in the world products for our homes and for ourselves. Our people can buy the most luxurious cars, Rolls-Royce or Mercedes 500 or 700, models S, M, and L with every the luxuries. We possess them, but we don’t manufacture them. We don’t even produce a single nail in any of these cars. Others do this for us.
The income of the entire Arab world, including the oil-producing countries, does not reach the that of a European country, such as Spain. Spain – let alone Germany, France, Britain, or Italy. Just Spain, which is at the bottom of the list of industrial countries… The income of the entire Arab world does not reach it. How arrive? Because we don’t work, and if we do work, we don’t do it professionally.
They conducted a survey of the average time that a government employee spends working in a certain Arab country. The average was 27 minutes a day. 27 minutes! The relax of the time he drinks coffee, reads newspapers, and goes on errands here and there. Only a tiny number of people work. The relax do not.
In the mid 1970s I went to Germany. We arrived during in the morning. I asked the guy who took me from the airport to the convention hall… As I was passing through the empty streets, I asked him how arrive the streets were not busy, like in our countries. He said: “People are at work.” After 7 p.m. he took me back to the hotel, and the streets were empty. I said to him: “What’s going on, the streets are empty again.” He said: people are back home from work, and they are exhausted. every they want is to eat their dinner, watch the news, and then go to bed, because early next morning they have to wake up for difficult work. They commute more than an hour to work and back, and spend an hour at lunch. They work non-cease.
We are a nation that doesn’t work. How can we develop if we don’t work? When we do work, we don’t do it professionally. We keep saying “Don’t worry, later, later…” Islam teaches us to do things professionally. Doing things professionally is a religious duty. The Prophet said that Allah ordered to excel in everyhting. He imposed excellence and professionalism. Professionalism must be followed in everything. “If you kill, do it properly, and if you slaughter, do it properly.” Even when killing, you must do well.
Unfortunately, we do not excel in either military or civil industries. We import everything from needles to missiles. This is our nation. We still haven’t manufactured an engine in our Arab countries. We assemble parts, but have no manufacturing industries. India has manufactured a car, and even a plane, while we still go around in circles like a bull in who turns a grinding mill or a water weal until it reaches exactly where it started.
How arrive the Zionist gang has managed to be superior to us, despite being so few? It has become superior through knowledge, through technology, and through strength. It ahs become superior to us through work. We had the desert before our eyes but we didn’t do anything with it. When they took over, they turned it into a green oasis. How can a nation that does not work progress? How can it grow? "

Annapurana is a chain of hotels popular in Tamil Nadu. It's head office is in Coimbatotre.
Its proprietor attended an International Food Processing exhibition conducted in New Delhi some years back.
He had gone in typical Tamilian Attire,Dhoti and white shirt.
He requested a Swedish Salesman to give a Demo about the features of the Swedish Food Processing Unit.
The Sales man looked at him from head to toe with suspicion but half heartedly explained.
The owner called his PA and told him to issue a Cheque on the spot to book an order and left the venue quietly.
Sales man still was not convinced about the credentials of the Owner. He tried to ascertain it through local contact,When they inquired the bank about him, they replied that he was a top rung Account holder.
Salesman realized his mistake and informed hie Head office in Sweden.
After some months there was a courier sent to the owner from Sweden.
There were open tickets to Sweden to visit their company along with family.
The owner accepted the invitation and visited.
On arrival Sweden he was given a red carpet welcome at the airport and requested a to pick luxury car from a convoy of cars.
He was taken to the factory where Chairman of the company was waiting to receive him.He was taken around the factory and finally brought him to the office. Here the Chairman apologized for what happened in New Delhi.
The touching climax was that he sowed the guest a photo frame on the wall.
Yes it contained the Cheque that he issued in Delhi and underneath again an apology.

I am planning a trip to Antigua for my 30th birthday as a gift for myself. I want to stay at a nice place where I can relax and not be hit on by men or bothered by kids. I want a place with a beautiful beach, good food and a spa. Someplace catered to adults not families with kids. I have been searching online for hotels but there doesn't seem to be anything that great.
Can someone who has been to Antigua recommend something. If you can't then can you recommend another an island and a hotel that has what I'm looking for.

I know about the common places for packages, I want something different. No expedia, travelocity, cheaptickets, travelzoo, orbitz, etc. I am looking for a 4 or 5 day weekend for two below $2,000. Luxury to me is a nice posh hotel room, nice beach, quaint tiny town, or big city, food will be good restaurants, willing to fly most anywhere but the flight should be in the total price. I am accessible to the Washington, DC metropolitan area.
I travel often for work and pleasure to New York, Boston, Chicago, and am really looking elsewhere than the northeast and away from multiple feet of snow.
PLEASE DO NOT TELL ME THE BEST PLACE TO GO, TELL ME WHERE I CAN FIND THE PACKAGE ONLINE. Thanks.

D J Keymer was its first name, then it changed to BOMAS and then S H Benson. By what name is it known today in India?
“Taste the Success, Become _______ Advisor.” Fill in the blank and name the company that has launched this unique contest.

Which company claims that last year it was able to tug up its worldwide production almost instantaneously and retain its profitability, despite the worst drop in demand since the Depression, because it used Toyota’s Lean Manufacturing approach? It closed 2009 with a profit of $259 million.

In 2008 a management consultancy came out with a report on how the urban market was spreading to smaller cities, and how rural customers were increasing in importance. It was named after a tiny-town boy who has made it big. Name both the consultancy and the title of the report.

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates – Dubai police appealed for an international manhunt Tuesday after releasing names and photos of an alleged 11-member European hit squad accused of stalking and killing a Hamas commander last month in a plot that mixed icy precision with spy caper disguises such as fake beards and wigs.
The case — as presented by Dubai authorities — rings of clockwork espionage and detailed planning that included suspects riding the same elevator as Mahmoud al-Mabhouh before he was slain in an ambush-style attack in a luxury hotel room that took no more than 10 minutes.
But questions emerged about the list of suspects after Dubai authorities released pictures, names and passport photos identifying them as six Britons, three Irish and one each from France and Germany.
The question should read: why is Dubai taking extreme interest in the slaying of a Hamas leader and asking for a worldwide manhunt?
Please forgive my ignorant wording of the question. I want to thank every of you for taking time to answer.

The new Four Seasons or The Inn At The Market?
Explanations for your answers would be appreciated.
I'd appreciated reasons for your answer - just saying the name of the hotel is like judging it by its outside appearance or reputation.

Repressive on private life. Can't even pay a whore to suck me off, have to pay 20 and spend 6 hours at a bar pandering to some bitch. Law enforcement like a bitch, ubiquitous, not to the producers. 'EVERYONE IS EQUAL HERE' fags.
tiny bussiness, its getting too repressive...yea, higher taxes in europe, but I can spend below 6 months making money there without being tax resident (4 months for US), and then travel to other places in luxury hotels and it would probably cost me the same as the faggy 35% taxes in the states.
Dubai, China, France...every trying to attract producers....not repressive to private life to those foreigners..don't give a fuck, you supply them a steady stream of productivity, why the hell should they care.
People keep on talking about the american dream...More like the american fuckin nightmare...can't even take advantage of my 6 million dollar home due to fuckin enviromentalists...Fuck the US, im dumping my treasury bonds cutting a deal with People's republic of China for yuan so that when its allowed to float in 7 years (yes, the doubling time, when it will catch to the US's current size...surprise surprise...yes, they will do that) I make like 40 percent on my money overnight, makes up for the reduced income prior....meantime I go back into dollars as interest rate skyrockets and destroys the stockmarket..
Fuck, what shoult I care...its not like anyone in the US did anything for me. They just wanted to break me down. Fvck the fvcks, they don't want me sick be leavin, sick start my multinantional overseas in dubai, its not like the US is anything special anyway. Once they have a reduced standard of living maybe they will have some gad damn humility and allow me to pay to receive sucked off...the gall man, fvcks..
do you really think this can last,...what you take for granted??....lol...sick look you up ahead.
Don't think so?
lol...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F-QA2rkpBSY
your up for a rude awakening...bitches...Maybve you will learn to APPRECIATE once the shit hits the fan...I bet you will....youll be sucking off really quick then.

I am housekeeper with over 20 years experience in the hotel industry. I have worked at 5 star luxury hotels and have left with glowing references. Most of my employers have commented on the high standard of my work and my references every state that i am highly recommended. After 3 years of working at a 4 star hotel I sadly was paid off as the company went into liquidation. I was unemployed for 6 weeks and applied for a job in a 3 star hotel. The hotel was of a much lower standard than i was use to and was much smaller. I was interviewed and offered the job. I didnt sign a contract, silly but at the time i didnt think as i was desperate for work. I worked there for 14 weeks and in this time i was constantly told that my work was excellent. I was asked to cover other peoples shifts and also given a second job covering breakfast shifts which i gladly accepted. After 14 weeks, i turned up to work and was informed that I was being let go as the hotel wasnt busy and there was no work. I was devestated but didnt look what I could do. I was assured that it had nothing to do with my work and my boss stated that he would give me a glowing reference. This happened on 29th january this year. I have since been searching for work and came across an posting on a well known website advertising for a housekeeping position in my area. I applied right away and sent my c.v via email as the ad requested. When i looked at the advert again I was shocked to discover that the position i applied for was in fact MY job! Im horrified as i know my work was of a high standard and i was paid off due to there being no work. While i was working there i was a little taken aback with the number of staff who were employed and sacked within a matter of weeks. Also, when i got my first wage slip I noticed that national insurance contributions had been taken from my wages but tax hadnt. After enquiring about this I had to contact the tax office and found out that I had been declared as self employed. I arranged to pay my tax and thought nothing more of it. I dont want to confront my ex-employer as i am still owed wages and I want paid before I rock the boat. Is there anything I can do about this situation after i receive what im owed? Im really mad as the job market is not busy at the moment and jobs are few and far between. can anyone advise?

What's to blame? needy conditions and difficult currency for starters. Vacationers skiing in northern Italy can receive almost 30 percent more for their money than in either Switzerland or Austria. Economic insecurity is prompting shorter stringier trips. The Germans Europe's largest and wealthiest tourist group have set the tone. "They don't stay as long as they used to, and they keep their wallets closed for extras." says one Austrian hotel owner. Add into the mix cheap flights to sunny spots in America and the Mediterranean. "I'm afraid my guest are playing golf in Florida." Hans Leu, owner of a luxury hotel in Lugano, said last summer.
Thanks! :)

I want to travel for six months and was wondering which places you would recommend?
Also, any things you think are a 'must-do' whilst travelling, for example - going to a Chinese festival, staying in a luxury New York hotel, staying in a jungle etc. Just anything you think would be great to include on my six-month travelling trip?
Just generally looking for recommendations and ideas. Thanks x
